  2. Inspiration: We get when we meet people who are great achievers.
Motivation: We get from ferling the progress made by our beneficiaries.

  3. Motivation is the inner drive in the individual ensuring that focus remains to complete the objective. The drive remains when the pathway to achieve remains doable and serves to encourage.

  4. Great article .
Inspiration can be obtained from many people , things experiences. But one has to cultivate motivation and a good / right attitude without which nothing can be accomplished!

    1. There will always be obstacles on your journey to your vision. Develop a thick skin like the elephant’s. Take only positive criticism for improvement. And if you happen to be a herbivore, eat plants and spare the elephant!

  5. It’s a discipline that helps you to achieve your life goals
and also helps to be successful in life.

  7. Walking in a park with.birds in the background is most motivating for me. Unfortunately, difficult in Madras. Access is limited to a few areas only. Nature encourages one to take care of health.

  8. it is true that motivation is required for any action. but what is the compelling force & reasoning in our minds that make us feel motivated in the first place to do or not do certain things. my personal view is that somewhere we make choices driven by either a bigger compelling goal or based on pain v pleasure judgement in fueling our motivation.

  9. Really good card, Dr.Arjun. Hits the sweet spot for me. Looking back at my progress can be a terrific booster & keeps me honest.
I also find giving myself a reward on hitting my goal helps me power through to the end.

  10. I love the tips for taking on the challenge in small doses, sort of like taking on a long journey, just one step at a time. It’s so much less daunting.
It’s easy enough to get fired up with inspiration, but the motivation to act rarely follows and when it does, the commitment to keep working towards that goal dissipates steadily , more often than not , due to being overwhelmed by what still lies ahead, ultimately leaving one with a sense of failure, & deflated self-confidence ONCE AGAIN!
But if we manage to sustain the determination to reach the goal, then the sense of accomplishment is a huge boost to one’s faith in oneself . We grow an inch taller & can see farther….

  11. Every line is true..Pomodoro technique is a new one, though.
Can start either with toughest or easiest first.Latter will give sense of immediate accomplishment, while former will give exhilaration when finished

  12. Inspiration is all around us. While stories of rags to riches catch more of our attention, no less inspirational are the stories of ordinary people who motivate themselves each day to make their lives better & happier.
Without motivation there will be no movement or change which is so essential for growth & rejuvenation. Motivation need not revolve only on getting big or small tasks completed.
It could also involve self improvement goals- to improve upon finer qualities of the head & heart. To be more patient, more tolerant, more forgiving, more empathetic – anything that needs to be worked upon.
The bottom line being – Don’t become stagnant. Push yourself to keep moving & growing at a pace that suits you best & also keeps you happy.
